Last year, GTV produced much fewer dramas than previous years, and only Jerry Yan's "Down With Love" had yield success in selling to the overseas -- Jerry's big name sold $20,000 US per episode in Japan. According to various sources, although Jerry will not be taking part in the anticipated drama, "Extravagant Challenge", he and the network will still have other collaborations.

Korean drama ratings have hit a plateau last year, but due to their low cost, they still brought in profitable income from its advertisers, with "Everybody Cha Cha Cha" being the most profitable. Thus, GTV will be bringing more Korean dramas in its line-up, featuring "Baker King Kim Tak Goo" and "Smile, Dong Hae", which have both obtained high ratings in Korea for their melodramatic storylines.

Besides Korean dramas, GTV also has four local dramas in pre-production which includes, "Absolute Boyfriend", "我可能不會愛你" (roughly I Might Not Love You), "你是春風我是雨" (roughly You Are The Spring Wind And I'm The Rain), and "Extravagant Challenge". GTV plans to start filming them in April. The cast for the dramas are rumored to be as follows: "Absolute" will star Wu Chun and Goo Hye Sun, "I Might" will star Ariel Lin and Bo-Lin Chen, "Extravagant" will star Super Junior members Siwon and Donghae, and Ivy Chen (from Black & White).

Honestly, I don't like the article. Why is it, "Jerry's Down With Love" ? So where's Ella now? Taken for granted? Psssh! They shouldn't rule out that many watched DWL because of Jerry. FYI, I watched DWL BECAUSE OF eLLA AND eLLA ONLY.
