Translations are up for this news: http://iluvellachenjiahua.blogspot.com/2011/01/ella-news-school-named-after-ella-built.html

More often than not, celebrities are role models of the society.

Fans of Taiwanese singer-actress Ella Chen had always been the ones who show support through their actions. For Ella's past year's birthday, the fan club placed advertisements at the Taipei Main Station and on buses to wish her a happy birthday.

Recently, in conjunction with the Jiangxi government, one of Ella's fan club 'Royalty' rallied and raised NT$2,300,000 (approximately S$100,000) to build a 'Ella Chen Hope Elementary School' in the province.

The school reportedly has an area of 3,085.5 square metres, and construction of the school is estimated to complete early this year. At least 260 children would have a chance to study once the school is ready.

Ella exclaimed "thank god", when she got wind of the news.

"When we did our promotions in China previously, they (Ella's fans) would write letters to tell me how the school was coming along. I'm touched to know that the construction of the school has finally begun. I feel that hard work these years are worth it," expressed the S.H.E member.

To that, her fans replied, "Ella, you're the one who moved us with your love. Ella Chen Hope Elementary School is a continuation of our love for you."
