The S.H.E member promised fans that S.H.E will be back soon

No longer quiet, S.H.E's Hebe Tien shows that she can stand on her own. She performed to a 3,200-strong crowd at her first solo showcase at the Resorts World Sentosa last Saturday (Jan 15).

The 27-year-old had to add another performance in the afternoon, after tickets for the first at night was sold out.

Hebe covered many English jazz songs, apart from the Mandarin songs from her solo debut album, spending two hours with her fans. Usually the quietest member out of the trio, Hebe was not afraid to show her humour to the local fans.

The girl introduced the song 'Islands' jokingly, saying, "Welcome to my tiny island, Sentosa," eliciting laughter from her audiences.

As the afternoon showcase was held at 2pm, Hebe revealed that she would usually be still in bed at the hour. However, when she knew many fans could not get tickets to her first show, which would be held later in the night, Hebe decided to "challenge myself and sing for two rounds."

Hebe dedicated 'You're Beautiful' to her 'wifey' Selina Jen, wishing for her fast recovery. The projector also played a photo montage, made up of various photos taken throughout the years before Selina's accident, causing some of the fans to tear up.

"This is my beautiful wifey, Selina. She is my most beautiful and courageous idol. We tend to see the good in human nature in times of adversity. I will pass on your care and love to her," said Hebe, who called Selina her SHERO.

The 27-year-old expressed that Selina would stand up on her feet again soon and added that Selina "had been through a lot of pain. Sometimes she would feel angry because of the pain, but she would not become low-spirited."

Hebe then declared "S.H.E will be back soon", earning thunderous applause from everyone.

Hebe sang a total of 24 songs at each of her showcase, including rock and jazz songs like 'Trouble', 'Ha Ha', 'Come Together'. She also performed songs from her own album, such as 'Love', 'Islands', 'It's OK to be Lonely' and 'You're Too Savage'.

Local singer Olivia Ong was the guest for both showcases and together with Hebe, the pair performed an electric version of Bee Gees 'How Deep Is Your Love'.

Hebe sang Singaporean singer Mavis Hee's 'Regrets' during the encore for the afternoon performance and in the evening, she performed the late Taiwanese singer Judy Huang's 'Leaf'.
