Taiwanese singer-host Show Luo sold more than 300,000 copies of his new book, Logic Course, throughout Asia. In Taiwan alone, 8,200 copies of the book were sold. The contents of the book discussed Show's family life throughout his growing years. His mother was also one of the authors of the book.

A few days ago, Show celebrated the positive sales of his book by holding a media conference in Ximending. He brought along his mother. The humourous interaction between mother and son earned laughter from both the media and fans.

At the celebration, Show's mother received a blank cheque from his son. A generous Mother Luo wrote down NT$200 million (approximately S$8.5 million), frightening Show who shouted, "Mum, I don't have so much money!"

The mother-son pair began bargaining, before reaching a settlement. They would take NT$10 of royalties from every book sold, totaling to NT$3 million (approximately S$130,000) in all.

Show then signed his manager's name on the cheque and cheekily told her, "Don't let it become a dishonoured cheque!"

It was reported that Show's mother hoped to donate the money she requested from her son to charities that help stray animals.

Show revealed that his mother always said happiness emitting from the eyes of stray animals were like diamonds. Receiving these "diamonds" was even better than buying real diamonds.

"Now we can help many stray animals," said Mother Luo happily.
