[Selina] News: Selina Jen bathes for the first time in 70 days

New hopes for a new year; it is yet another milestone in Taiwanese pop star Selina Jen's life.

On the first day of 2011, Father Jen revealed on his Weibo that Selina "could finally bathe. She was excited and nervous. Welcoming a new year (with new skin), the spa removed little pieces of dander and scars."

Selina entered the bathroom at nine in the morning with hospital staff, who placed her in a bathtub with spa facilities. Knowing that his daughter was excited and nervous, Father Jen kept vigil beside her and encouraged her.

"It's been a really long time since I bathed. Although it is still a little bit painful, but compared to the pain during my dressing changes, this is small," said Selina after her bath.

The hospital also organised a countdown party for the injured singer. Doctors and nurses prepared cards with well wishes for Selina, while Father Jen and fiancé Richard Chang welcomed the new year with her and accompanied her from 6pm to midnight.

Band mates Ella Chen and Hebe Tien could not make it to countdown with "wifey" Selina, as the pair was performing at a countdown event in Shenzhen. Once they arrived in Taiwan after their performance, they visited Selina at the hospital. Ella and Hebe even brought along recorded messages of well wishes from their fans. S.H.E spent the first day of 2011 together, signifying the group will never disband.

Selina is currently undergoing therapy and is making progress daily.

"The therapist added another impossible action -- holding onto the bed and squat for five seconds. Selina endured the pain and shouted, "Oh my mummy!". I clapped my hands happily and praised her for doing well. It is only a simple exercise, but to Selina, it was difficult. Her body is increasingly stronger, but her spirit is declining. The pain caused mother and daughter to hug in tears," revealed Father Jen.

Popstar Jolin Tsai also sent her warmest regards to Father and Mother Jen and wished for Selina's fast recovery and return to showbiz.

In other reports, Selina's fans have made plans to petition against the production crew of I Have a Date with Spring, rallying for them to give an explanation.
