[Show] News: Show Luo is cleared of having STD

MSN Entertainment

Taking a lesson in his new book to heart, Show Luo faced a sticky situation with courage.

Show went to the hospital for a checkup on Dec 11 to prove there was nothing wrong with his health because other celebrities were linked to the nasty internet rumour. They included singers Amber Kuo and Rainie Yang who were once romantically linked to him. After famous Taiwanese hosts implied his condition on air, Show's mother lost it.

"I have nothing to hide. However, to lessen my mother's worry, I went to do a checkup at the hospital," said Show Luo, who was previously suspected to have genital warts, a type of sexually transmitted disease (STD).

Yesterday, the 100% Entertainment host addressed the rumour for the first time, armed with the results of his health check. The diagnosis wrote: "After various health checks including urine tests between May 2005 and December 2010, the clinic found no signs of infectious skin lesions on Show Luo."

He said that he did not want his mother to worry and even joked that it was "awkward to have the head of the hospital and the doctor, both of whom are males, touch my body".

"I feel so sorry to them. They are girls with healthy images. I hope netizens don't joke about matters like these anymore," said Show apologetically to his good friends Amber and Rainie, who became the "female leads" of the rumour.

Last week, Show was awarded five times Platinum for his album, Rashomon. His book Logic Course is also currently on sale. One of the lessons, mentioned in the book, from his mother was: "A real man faces a situation with courage".
