Ah Zhong: Let this trial be more meaningful!
With her skin slowly being replaced, her vital signs also became more and more stable. Next comes the double challenge of physical and psychological rehabilitations.
Having burns over 54% of the body meant only 1/2 of the back, 3/4 of the shoulder and abdomen, less than 1/2 of both arms, and chest, the palms of both hands as well as the sole and toes of both feet were not injured.
The newly transplanted delicate skin and the atrophying muscles are the biggest obstacles to rehabilitation. In particular, the rehabilitation of the fingers on both hands, knees and ankles is a race that she loves and hates at the same time. The new skin is dry and thin, tight and stubborn, just like disobedient children. Although it is incredibly vulnerable, it brings in little water blisters that grows quickly and rebelliously everywhere. She must engaged in a race with them, to protect their growth, to train them to be strong, and yet at the same time, to guide them to the right positions. Each rehabilitative session would stretch the joints and the pain would be like flesh being torn apart; each time after the pain, the new skin would either have little tears or swell up; at the end of each rehabilitative session, these stubborn blisters would immediately cropped up again. After completing the day's painful rehab, the incredible itchiness would prevent her from sleeping; when she was finally able to drift off, she would woke up feeling tightness all over again; upon feeling frustrated and crying to exhaustion, she would dry her tears and do it one more time.
During the physical rehab, other than giving her encouragement, there is nothing else I can do. As for her, she would bite the mouthpiece and like an ascetic, focusing on spurring them on and struggling to finish each day's homework. Because, to be able to stand and move around is her greatest wish right now.
Having 3rd degree burns means that even after rehabilitation, there will always be long-term side-effects. It would be impossible to return her appearance to the way it was before.
In the meantime, muscle atrophy changed her figure. Her legs are like purple and red beehives. The burns on the back of her hand and arms are like fresh raw beef. The elbow areas resembled wrinkled cellophanes. Other areas looked as if they are randomly covered with irregularly shaped pink bandages. In addition, little blisters, tiny skin wounds and small hard scars would appeared randomly, without any warning. As for the deep-red face, there is a good chance that it won't have any scars. She is more aware than anyone of us of how she looked originally. Of course, she would also be more aware than anyone of us of how she looked right now. She would self-mocked yet cried pitifully, she does not want to believe but this really is not a dream. She looked at herself calmly yet looks at me tearfully. She asked me why but I could only shed tears along with her. She felt totally hopeless yet also full of hope. She wanted to return to the past but can only face the future. She felt lost and scared but still gathers her courage. She silently armed herself, then smiles and comforts everyone else.
Psychological rehabilitation, other than comfort and encouragement, there is nothing else I can say. As for her, she would always rubs her head, like a Buddhist novice, determinedly uses her willpower to numb herself and forcefully fills each day with rehab sessions. I know, she is also thinking about all these.
If this ordeal has some meaning, it would be to allow us to see the optimism and strength beneath her fragile appearance that can conquer physical pain and external defects and that parental love can actually surpass the limit of physical burden. It also allowed us to once again witness the durability of S.H.E and your loyalty to them. If this ordeal has some meaning, in the future she will not be bringing only happiness to us, therefore the heavens want her to experience all these, want her to bravely withstand the pain and the experience of rehabilitation, want her to face this trial calmly, learn to accept and want her to remember clearly what exactly took place as well as the process of healing.
This trial would be more meaningful if public authority that would investigate into the cause and consequences, if the TV station would inform us what exactly happened and why, if the director and the production team no longer hide, if the media would continue to keep track and investigate in depth into the lesson behind this accident instead of only keeping their focus on her looks, if what needs explanations is explained, if those who need to face this matter would show their faces, those responsible are held responsible, if what needs improvement would be improved. If this trial will not have any additional meaning, there is nothing wrong with that either. There is nothing truly fair in this world anyways. Not all things necessarily have reasons; however, if this trial does have some meaning, then her pain and her suffering would not be in vain. Your worries and heartaches would not be in vain. Social resources would not be wasted. Yet to make this trial more meaningful, my efforts alone is not enough.
No matter how painful or how long it would take, she is still waiting for the day when she passes the test, I am still anticipating the next album from S.H.E. Perhaps her body and outer appearance will never completely recover but her emotions and attitude will be healthier and more mature. She will return and quickly too. In these two months, I am grateful and thankful that this misfortune would have the honor of receiving so much blessing and well-wishes from everyone. In the future, I am convinced that this society would not only be curious about the changes in her appearance but will be welcoming her with even more significant concerns.

Note: I can sense anger in him. But doesn't really express it because what's important now is Selina and Selina only. I agree with him. If only media won't focus on what will be her appearance but on the unsolved case, then it would be better. Sigh. It would take time for S.H.E to be back again but I'm sure loyal fans out there can wait :) Selina, Jia You :)
