The lawyer admitted he was "annoyed"
S.H.E member Selina Jen and her lawyer husband Richard Chang's wedding had been a much anticipated event, ever since it was postponed from Apr 1 this year. The singer was severely burnt after an on-set accident last October.
There were many speculations that the couple would be tying the knot on Selina's birthday (Oct 31). However, others said that Selina would be announcing her wedding date soon.
Responding to the speculations, Richard spoke up yesterday.
"I'm sorry. I think I would be annoyed too, if I see different reports about our marriage every day," he said.
The lawyer confessed that he had been preparing for the wedding but denied that they would be announcing their wedding date on Aug 5. Richard claimed that the rumours were speculations by the media. They would probably announce their wedding date, after they sort out their arrangement with the hotel next week.
It is believed that one should not be the best man more than three times, or the person would never be married.
Richard, a four-time best man, said, "I've always been careful in the past, but some things are really unexpected. No matter how you plan, you never know what God has in store for you."
The lawyer added that he did not want to think too much about it.
"People should live in the now and not believe in superstition," he added.
Richard also said that it was not an easy job being a best man.
"There are a lot of miscellaneous things to handle. Just estimating how many friends and family from both sides [who would be attending the wedding] is already a big headache," he said.
